As a travel, lifestyle and food photographer, Washington, DC-based Reema Desai finds inspiration around every corner. Always exploring and discovering, this particular adventure brought her to Positano on southern Italy’s stunning Amalfi Coast — an alluring mountainous scene of vibrant cliffside communities facing the Mediterranean.
“Positano is easily one of the most visually stunning spots I’ve ever been to,” Reema proclaims. “While all of the towns along the Amalfi Coast are unique and more than worth a visit, we elected to spend most of our time in Positano. That way, we could really get to know the town, fall into a routine, and really learn what makes it special.”
“Each morning we’d head to the same bakery for espressos and whichever pastry they happened to be selling,” she continues, “and before long we’d be ambling around town or heading down to Fornillo Beach. Afternoons would consist of taking a hike, enjoying an afternoon glass of wine, watching the boats come in, or hopping on a boat ourselves to admire Positano from the sea.”
